ESTsoft (CEO Chung Sang-won), a company specializing in AI services, announced on the 18th that it has been selected as a provider for the second-half 'K-Digital Training' program run by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and will begin AI talent development courses in October.
K-Digital Training is an education program run by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to develop core practitioners in artificial intelligence, big data and digital fields; ESTsoft was selected as a provider for the second half after being selected in March for the first half.
ESTsoft's courses run under the name 'WASSUP' and train 'AI service planners' and 'AI model developers'. Specifically, the AI service planner course covers ▲UX scenarios ▲performance management leadership ▲business marketing ▲domain industry knowledge ▲data analysis and ▲AI modeling, while the AI model developer course covers the programming language ▲Python ▲machine learning and deep learning models ▲data processing and ▲large language models (LLMs).
The instructors are current and former ESTsoft AI planners and doctoral-level staff from national research institutes. Care has gone into the learning environment and benefits too: the courses are fully online so students can take part without constraints of time or place, with mock interviews and a range of employment special lectures. Top graduates are also exempt from document screening and the coding test when applying to ESTsoft group companies. Tuition is fully covered through the National Tomorrow Learning Card vocational training support scheme, with a separate training allowance provided.
ESTsoft's 'WASSUP' courses are open to anyone hoping to work as an AI planner or developer, regardless of field of study or experience. Training runs from October 10 to February 23, 2024, with applications closing on September 27. Each course takes 80 students.
An ESTsoft representative said: "It is meaningful to be able to contribute to national digital talent development policy through this program," adding, "As a digital leader with AI at its core, we will do our utmost to develop outstanding talent."
