ESTsoft (CEO Chung Sang-won), a company specializing in AI services, announced on the 23rd that an AI human developed from its own IP has debuted as an MC on an economics YouTube channel.
The AI human is named 'Lee Gyu-ri', the second ESTsoft has developed from its own IP. The first was AI human 'Kim Yi-so', who worked mainly within the company; Kim Yi-so has also recently debuted as a Pilates and yoga instructor on the AI home training app service 'Howfit'.
AI human 'Lee Gyu-ri' was created with ESTsoft's AI Persona technology, which generates new people. Produced from refined, high-quality data captured in ESTsoft's own studio, built to world-class specifications, she is finished to a level that is hard to distinguish from live footage. 'Lee Gyu-ri' was created with the concept of a curious marketer in her mid-twenties, and also goes by the stage name 'Curi' to show a wider range of appeal.
'Lee Gyu-ri' debuted on an economics newspaper's YouTube channel. The program, broadcast on YouTube and Naver TV, has an AI human explain how the prices of everyday goods and services came to be set. 'Lee Gyu-ri' has begun building a following on the program, with cumulative views passing 1.07 million. The most-watched piece reached 200,000 views, with others at 130,000, 120,000 and 100,000.
Winning the contract for 'Lee Gyu-ri' to appear on the program strengthens the revenue base for ESTsoft's AI human services. The company plans to build competitiveness in its own IP within the AI human industry quickly, expanding the business model and raising revenue and profitability.
Byun Kye-pung, head of ESTsoft's division, said: "Securing our own IP is one of the most important elements in strengthening the competitiveness of the AI human business," adding, "We will succeed not only in developing IP but in growing it, and create more business opportunities."
The virtual human market ESTsoft is pursuing as a new AI business has enormous growth potential and is drawing worldwide attention. Global market research firm Emergen Research has forecast that the global virtual human market will grow to USD 527.58 billion by 2030.
