ESTsoft (CEO Chung Sang-won), a company specializing in AI services, announced on the 13th that it has built a dedicated studio inside its headquarters to capture the optimal video and audio data needed to produce high-quality AI virtual humans.
ESTsoft's virtual humans are built on AI technology, which makes securing high-quality data crucial. With the dedicated studio now complete, ESTsoft can further strengthen the core competitiveness of its AI virtual human service 'AI Studio Perso'.
The studio was designed to world-class specifications so it can support production of AI virtual humans at 8K, the highest resolution currently available. It uses 6K full-frame cameras and broadcast-standard high-end lenses, with 12G SDI video output for an environment capable of 8K.
The cameras in particular are Netflix-certified and meet specifications for both broadcast and film, so they can be used across the many industries where AI virtual humans will be applied. Three cameras were installed, in order to provide side views of the AI virtual human as well as the front. ESTsoft is the only company in Korea providing side-view video of AI virtual humans.
The audio recording environment is excellent too. High-end boom and lapel microphones are set up inside the studio, and the overall recording environment, including soundproofing, was built to professional-facility standard.
Lighting and backdrops likewise use RGB color-changing lights and chroma key equipment for different purposes, so filming can match the concept of the video.
A 10G network was also built so that the large volumes of data captured this way can be delivered smoothly from the studio to the development, design and other teams involved in AI virtual human production.
A 32-inch full-HD teleprompter and a separate powder room were also provided for the convenience of studio users.
ESTsoft CEO Chung Sang-won said: "We built the studio to get ahead of the rapidly growing demand for high-quality AI virtual humans at home and abroad," adding, "With a world-class studio for highly advanced AI virtual humans now inside our building, we plan to pursue global markets more aggressively from next year."
The virtual human market has enormous growth potential and is drawing worldwide attention. Global market research firm Emergen Research has forecast that the global virtual human market will grow to USD 527.58 billion (about KRW 700 trillion) by 2030.
