ESTsoft (CEO Chung Sang-won), a company specializing in AI services, announced on the 9th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with 4by4 (CEO Yoon Jun-ho) on mutual AI technology cooperation and strengthening their AI business capabilities.
4by4 developed its own AI image quality enhancement solution, 'PIXELL', and supports the production of ultra-high-definition video content, delivering immersive content experiences across OTT, advertising, film and digital signage.
The signing ceremony was held at ESTsoft's headquarters, attended by ESTsoft CEO Chung Sang-won, 4by4 CEO Yoon Jun-ho and other key figures from both sides.
At the ceremony the two companies agreed to make use of each other's AI technology under mutual cooperation, and to strengthen their AI business capabilities on that basis.
In other words, they will use ESTsoft's AI human video generation service PERSO.ai together with 4by4's image quality enhancement and file size reduction solution PIXELL to maximize the efficiency of their main services and create new value.
PERSO.ai, which ESTsoft offers as a global AI SaaS product, is expected to become more competitive as a result. Both sides expect PIXELL in particular to accelerate advances in ultra-high-definition video generation and in content storage and delivery.
PERSO.ai's technology will also be used in 4by4's production of people-based content. Collaboration is due to begin with the VTuber (Virtual YouTuber) production process at 'LoLQ', a gaming influencer MCN operated by 4by4 subsidiary SBXG.
4by4 CEO Yoon Jun-ho said: "This MOU will be a good opportunity to see just how much synergy can arise when different AI technologies meet and converge," adding, "We plan to build up many success stories so we can serve as a model for AI companies drawing greater efficiency from mutual cooperation."
ESTsoft CEO Chung Sang-won said: "Because this MOU comes at a time when ESTsoft is strengthening its competitiveness as a global AI SaaS provider, we expect the results of the collaboration to show through quickly in PERSO.ai," adding, "We intend to keep working closely together so we can deliver a range of results across both companies' business areas."
Building on the agreement, the two companies will also discuss further areas of cooperation, including joint research and development on AI technology for content services, joint planning of new services, and mentoring for small and medium-sized AI companies.
