ESTsoft (CEO Chung Sang-won), a company specializing in AI services, announced on the 27th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea National University of Education (President Cha Woo-gyu) on the 21st, for AI-based K-edtech innovation.
Korea National University of Education is a national comprehensive teacher training university that trains kindergarten, primary and secondary teachers together, and develops and disseminates systematic, comprehensive model programs in teacher education. It has recently moved actively into AI edtech, leading innovation in the future of education.
The signing ceremony was held at ESTsoft's headquarters on the 21st, attended by ESTsoft CEO Chung Sang-won, Korea National University of Education President Cha Woo-gyu and other key figures from both sides.
University staff were also given hands-on experience of the AI human-based services ESTsoft provides to schools, and toured the studio where AI humans are produced.
Through the agreement, both sides will build an AI-based education ecosystem to accelerate digital transformation and innovation in the future of education.
More specifically, they will pursue joint projects in K-edtech — AI digital textbooks, AI teaching and learning platforms, remote education systems, AI teacher support platforms and integrated early childhood education and care systems — and continue working closely on innovation in teacher education, including in-service and remote training.
ESTsoft CEO Chung Sang-won said: "It is very meaningful to be working with Korea National University of Education on K-edtech innovation and leading the future of education," adding, "We intend to work harder still so that innovation built on AI technology continues in education as well."
