ESTsoft, introduces AI caster for Korea Expressway Corporation... Publicizes traffic center domestically and internationally

ESTsoft (CEO Chung Sang-won), a company specializing in AI services, announced on the 11th that it has produced AI caster Irumi to promote the Korea Expressway Corporation's Traffic Center.

The Korea Expressway Corporation's Traffic Center began providing traffic information by radio broadcast from the Mannam Plaza rest area in 1983; today it manages traffic around the clock and delivers real-time traffic information to television and radio as well as smartphones and navigation systems.

The project began after the Korea Expressway Corporation recognized the strength of ESTsoft's AI humans in natural speech and movement and in multilingual delivery. The judgment that adopting an AI human would make promoting the Traffic Center at home and abroad more efficient weighed heavily.

AI caster Irumi, produced by the two organizations, has been used in a video promoting the Traffic Center. Because Irumi speaks multiple languages, she also features in promotional videos produced in English, Spanish and Russian as well as Korean.

With the collaboration completed successfully, ESTsoft's push to bring AI human services into the public sector is gathering pace. The company recently opened smart senior centers in Gimhae City and went on to sign an agreement with the National Information Society Agency to provide an AI announcer.

ESTsoft plans to expand its public sector business on the back of the operational know-how it has built there. Alongside its existing AI human services, it intends to make full use of that experience in developing and advancing conversational AI kiosks that handle public service requests and support senior care.

Byun Kye-pung, Executive Director of ESTsoft's AI Business Division, said: "We are delighted to provide ESTsoft's AI human to promote the Korea Expressway Corporation's Traffic Center, which helps people in their daily lives," adding, "We plan to expand our public sector business quickly on the back of the know-how we have built there, so that more people encounter ESTsoft's AI services in everyday life."
