ESTsoft (CEO Chung Sang-won), a company specializing in artificial intelligence services, announced on the 31st that it has signed a service supply agreement with the international relief and development NGO Better World (Chairman Lee Jae-hoon) for PERSO.ai, its AI human video production and auto-dubbing service.
Better World holds special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) and runs a range of support programs in regions around the world suffering from poverty, disease and natural disasters.
The agreement forms part of a project Better World is pursuing to provide IT education to young people in Africa.
More specifically, it is intended to deliver IT lectures by Korean professors and developers effectively to young people in Côte d'Ivoire; ESTsoft will use AI Video Translator, the auto-dubbing service in PERSO.ai, to convert the Korean-language training videos into French.
The training videos requiring translation run to 81 hours in total. Using AI Video Translator, the two sides will reproduce the instructors' vocal tone exactly and generate facial movement and mouth shapes matched to the translated language, producing high-quality localized training videos.
The training videos comprise six subjects in total, including UI/UX, Android apps and iOS apps, and once translation is complete they will be used in IT courses for secondary school and university students in Côte d'Ivoire.
Both sides expect the adoption of AI Video Translator to improve local students' learning outcomes, since it lets them focus on the lecture video without subtitles.
ESTsoft CEO Chung Sang-won said: "It is very meaningful for ESTsoft to be part of a project for international relief work," adding, "We will keep working so that PERSO.ai's innovation is put to better use in creating social value."
