Through this CCTV Operation and Management Policy, ESTsoft Corp. (hereinafter 'the Company') informs you of the purposes and manner in which the video information it processes is used and managed.
1. Legal basis and purpose of installing CCTV
Pursuant to Article 25(1) of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company installs and operates CCTV for the following purposes.
- Facility safety and fire prevention
- Crime prevention for customer safety
- Prevention of vehicle theft and damage (where parking capacity exceeds 30 vehicles, installation and operation is permitted under Article 6(1) of the Enforcement Rule of the Parking Lot Act)
2. Number of units, locations and areas covered
1) Number of units - 40 2) Locations and areas covered - building exterior and interior lobby, parking lot, elevators, etc.
3. Manager and persons with access rights
To protect your video information and handle complaints relating to personal video information, we have appointed a Personal Video Information Protection Officer as follows.
4. Recording hours, retention period, storage location and method of processing 1) Recording hours: 24 hours
2) Retention period: 30 days from the date of recording
3) Storage location: Head office - B1F management office
4) Method of processing: We record and manage matters concerning use of personal video information beyond its purpose, provision to third parties, destruction and requests for access; when the retention period expires, the information is permanently deleted by a method that makes recovery impossible (printouts are shredded or incinerated).
5. Entrustment of CCTV installation and management
1) In principle, once the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been achieved, that information is destroyed without delay. However, where separate consent was obtained at the time of collection, the information is retained for the period consented to, and otherwise for the period prescribed by applicable law. If an applicant withdraws consent to the provision of personal information, that personal information is deleted immediately.
6. How and where personal video information may be reviewed
The Company entrusts the installation and management of CCTV as set out below, and in accordance with applicable law the entrustment contract stipulates what is necessary to keep personal information securely managed.
7. Action on a data subject's request to view video information
If you wish to view personal video information, confirm its existence or have it deleted, you may request this from the CCTV operator at any time. Such requests are limited to personal video information in which you appear and to personal video information clearly necessary for the urgent protection of a data subject's life, body or property. Where a request to view, confirm the existence of, or delete personal video information is made, the Company will take the necessary action without delay.
8. Measures to ensure the security of video information
The video information processed by the Company is managed securely through the application of technology that allows secure storage and transmission (such as setting passwords on personal video information files). As an administrative safeguard for the protection of personal video information, the Company also grants differentiated access rights to personal information and, to prevent forgery or alteration, records and manages the date and time each item of personal video information was created and, on each viewing, the purpose, the viewer and the date and time. In addition, locking devices are installed for the secure physical storage of personal video information.
9. Changes to this policy
Where content is added to, deleted from or amended in this CCTV Operation and Management Policy in line with changes to legislation, policy or security technology, we will give notice of the reasons for and the content of the changes on the Company website at least 7 days before they take effect.
