ESTsoft (CEO Sang-won Jung), an AI service specialist, announced on the 26th that it has begun broadcasting K-content localized via AI dubbing through LG Channels to global markets including the US and Canada.
This overseas distribution of AI-dubbed K-content was made possible through the K-FAST expansion support project, organized by the MSIT and KAIT to build a foundation for global K-content distribution.
Recently, ESTsoft presented AI-dubbed content—including 30 episodes of EBS 'Korea Travel' and e-sports content such as 'The Finals', 'CS Online', and 'Sudden Attack'—to the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Singapore, UAE, and Japan on LG Channels.
The channel names are 'TRAVEL ON' and 'GAME ON', with a new food-focused channel 'FOOD ON' scheduled to launch this month.
In January next year, it plans to launch 'Series K', a romantic comedy drama channel on Samsung TV Plus, broadcasting K-dramas and variety shows.
In the K-FAST project, ESTsoft formed a consortium including content firms, ad-supported streaming providers, and AI tech firms, partnering with LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics to broadcast approximately 200 hours of content.
With LG Channels offering 400+ free streaming channels in the US alone and Samsung TV Plus serving 24 countries worldwide, ESTsoft expects K-FAST's business model to settle quickly in global markets.
Furthermore, through real broadcast quality validation and global reference accumulation, the competitiveness of its AI dubbing service 'Perso AI' has been significantly enhanced.
In October at MIPCOM in Cannes, France, ESTsoft leveraged K-FAST references to hold meetings with over 100 companies, leading to actual contract executions.
An ESTsoft official stated, "K-FAST is a new export model reprocessing and distributing K-content via AI. AI dubbing will become core infrastructure for global K-content expansion."
