ESTsoft (CEO Chung Sang-won), a company specializing in AI services, announced on the 21st that it is introducing creator virtual human 'Baek Ha-na' together with online class platform Class101 (CEO Kong Dae-sun).
Baek Ha-na is the first virtual human ESTsoft has commercialized with its AI Persona technology — a virtual human production solution in which AI learns from existing people to create an entirely new person who does not exist in the world.
In this project the two companies focused on the virtual human's quality and appeal. Class101 established Baek Ha-na's concrete identity — gender, age, values and occupation — on the basis of solid storytelling and world-building, while ESTsoft secured high-quality data and ran repeated tests across a range of variables and environments to realize it perfectly.
AI virtual human Baek Ha-na will now work as a creator on the Class101 platform, running classes on subjects including personal branding and NFTs. The plan is also to develop her as a celebrity aimed at the MZ generation through influencer activity on Instagram and other social media.
ESTsoft plans in particular to make full use of its own media reach — more than 30 million MAU — in marketing Baek Ha-na, and the two companies agreed to keep collaborating so the IP they develop can expand into areas such as advertising modeling.
The virtual human market has recently drawn attention as a blue ocean. Market research firm Emergen Research has forecast that the global virtual human market will grow to USD 527.58 billion (about KRW 688.49 trillion) by 2030.
Starting with the Class101 project, ESTsoft intends to accelerate its virtual human business through further service launches this year and by taking the IP it has secured into domestic and overseas markets.
ESTsoft CEO Chung Sang-won said: "The Class101 project will be the signal that our virtual human service is beginning in earnest," adding, "We plan to make full use of the global IP we have already secured to pursue overseas markets as well as Korea."
