ESTsoft (CEO Chung Sang-won), a company specializing in AI services, announced on the 19th that it has substantially increased the length and file size of videos supported by 'AI Video Translator', the auto-dubbing service in PERSO.ai.
With this update, PERSO.ai users can dub videos of all lengths, from ultra-short to long-form, with AI Video Translator. The previous specification supported videos of 20 seconds to 20 minutes and up to 1GB; this has been extended to 5 seconds to 30 minutes, with the size limit doubled to 2GB.
The change reflects requests from professional content creators. Because creators produce videos across many genres, running time inevitably varies with the concept and content of the video and the nature of the platform.
As a result, the range of uses for AI Video Translator has widened considerably — from the fast-growing short-form formats of TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube to long-form lectures, reviews and vlogs. The larger size limit in particular makes it possible to dub video for formats that demand high image quality, such as documentaries.
The user interface has also been made more intuitive, and Vietnamese has been added as a dubbing language. The new language reflects requests from creators looking to enter the Southeast Asian market.
This update follows last month's multi-speaker auto dubbing, as ESTsoft continues its run of technical innovation in PERSO.ai. That release applied a proprietary AI model built on analysis of Korean pronunciation characteristics and lip movement patterns.
Shin Du-ho, the creator behind the badminton YouTube channel 'Full Swing' (280,000 subscribers), said: "With video length extended to 30 minutes, we can now bring our existing content to a global audience," adding, "The real advantage is that it keeps the atmosphere of the moment while translating technical terms accurately."
As success stories from popular creators such as Techmong (880,000 subscribers) have spread, the number of channels adopting PERSO.ai is rising quickly. PERSO.ai currently works with more than 50 partner channels, and leading creators are seeing results including growth in overseas subscribers and higher advertising revenue.
Kim Saeng-geun, Head of the PERSO SaaS Center, explained: "We expanded the processing range to support content across many genres," adding, "Being able to handle ultra-short videos under a minute in particular means dubbing can now be applied to short-form content."
He continued: "We are continuously advancing PERSO.ai's technology to show the quality and diversity of K-content to the world," adding, "We plan to keep taking creators' feedback on board and delivering a service that competes in the global market."
